A Country Woman: Jane Fitzpatrick

A Country Woman: Jane Fitzpatrick is the current exhibit offered by the Stockbridge Library’s Museum & Archives.  By displaying dresses worn since 1958, accompanied by photographs, the exhibit highlights the varied experiences and interests of Jane Fitzpatrick since she moved to Stockbridge.  The clothing serves as individual time capsules of the styles and activities over a span of fifty years, ranging from the opening of the Red Lion Inn to the inaugural ball for President Reagan and the Fitzpatrick’s 50th wedding anniversary.  The exhibit can be seen in the lower level of the library and in the display case in the Bement Room. It will be on display through October 15, 2010.

The Stockbridge Library’s Museum & Archives is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-5, Thursdays from 9-1 and Saturdays from 9-2.  For information about the exhibit or on Stockbridge history, call 298-5501.
