Stockbridge, MA–Come learn about Stockbridge townspeople whose new ideas and innovations changed the world. The tour will include visits from “shades,” or spirits of the cemetery’s residents, who will offer a first-hand look at these important events.


This is the second of five monthly tours of the Stockbridge Cemetery. They started in May and are running through September. Each monthly tour will be different, and each will include visits with “shades.” Join us! Meet famous and infamous citizens, influential and ordinary residents, founding families and recent arrivals.


All tours take place on Saturdays, from 4 – 5 pm. Parking is available at the old Town Hall on Main Street. A suggested donation of $5.00 is welcome.

July 7 – Stockbridge’s changes in the dynamic 19th century.


August 4 – Stockbridge’s vital role in the arts, education, and culture.


September 8 – Stockbridge’s evolution from the 1870s to the 1950s.
