Natalie Dykstra, author of Clover Adams

Join us for a reading and book signing with author Natalie Dykstra, who will discuss her new book, Clover Adams: A Gilded & Heartbreaking Life. This is the first biography of Marian Hooper “Clover” Adams, wife of Henry Adams, friend of Henry James, and a fiercely intelligent Boston Brahmin woman.

 

Natalie Dykstra has received a National Endowment for the Humanties fellowship for her work on Clover Adams.  She is a fellow of the Massachusetts Historical Society, and an associate professor of English at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
