Harpist Elizabeth Morse

Join us for an afternoon of live music with harpist Elizabeth Morse.


Ms. Morse’s program will include:

George Fr. Handel: Passacaglia, Concerto in B flat

Lou Harrison: Jahla, Music for Bill and Me, Avalokiteshvara

John Williams: The Lanes of Limerick

Carlos Salzedo: Suite of 8 Dances


Elizabeth Morse, Artist Associate of Harp at Williams College, is principal harpist with the Berkshire Symphony.  Formerly, she was principal harp with the Rhode Island Philharmonic and Assistant Director of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Harp Seminar.  Elizabeth has performed with the Boston Symphony and the Boston Pops.


She gave her Boston debut at Jordon  Hall with Gunther Schuller conducting the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto.  Her New York debut at Lincoln Center Library was presented by the New York City Musicians’ Club.  Other solo appearances have been with the Boston Symphony Orchestrated Events, New England Philharmonic, MIT Chamber Players and the International Music Festival of Las Vegas.


Chamber music collaborations have included Williams Chamber players, Boston Chamber Music Society, Boston Conservatory Chamber Players, Musicorda Festival, Stockbridge Chamber Concerts, and John Williams and Friends at Tanglewood’s Ozawa Hall.


This fall will bring the release of her CD, “Invitation to the Dance,” recorded at Symphony Hall with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
