Cemetery Tour: Stockbridge Cottages: Who, When, and Why

On Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 4:00 p.m., volunteers from The Stockbridge Library’s Museum & Archives will present the third cemetery tour of the 2014 season: “Stockbridge Cottages: Who, When, and Why.”

The wealthy builders of Stockbridge Gilded Age cottages were often linked by friendship, business, or family. Come explore these connections and learn who built when, where, and why. We also will look at some of the new businesses made possible by this cottage lifestyle.

The tour gathers at the cemetery gate on Main Street (Route 102), Stockbridge. Parking is available at the old Town Hall, across from the gate. A donation of $5.00 is suggested.

This is the third of six monthly tours of the Stockbridge Cemetery, May through October. Each monthly tour has a different theme. All tours take place on the first Saturday of the month, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
