Sunday Speaker Series: Rita Foley, Co-author of Revolutionary Retirement

RevRetirementThinking of retiring but wonder about how the “R” word will work for you?  Then join us on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (29 Main Street, Stockbridge) for a reading and book signing with Rita Foley, co-author of Revolutionary Retirement.  Ms. Foley also will offer a few short fun exercises for the audience.

Baby Boomers (76 million!) have not always done things conventionally, and now they are breaking new ground in the way they are “retiring.” It’s not their grandfathers’ or even parents’ retirement. It could be thirty years long! But, the path is not always clear. Longer lives, financial strain, lots of opportunities, multigenerational issues, health challenges, and more create the need for everyone to have a good plan for their next life chapter.

Revolutionary Retirement is a book by Baby Boomers for Baby Boomers about the transition into a new phase of life—not to retire, but to reboot and reinvent. It’s about actually designing the next chapter the way they want it. The book recognizes that people want relevance, fulfillment, identity, and self-esteem. And it recognizes what they fear, including financial inadequacy. The book is much more than finances, though — it’s about life.
