Picture This: The History of Postcards and Sharing of Collections

Stockbridge3 If you have a collection of postcards or simply enjoy viewing them, then join Gary Leveille for a presentation on postcard evolution and popularity on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jonathan Edwards Room of the Stockbridge Congregational Church. Mr. Leveille will explain the different types of postcards that have been used over the years and discuss how to date ones in your collection. He will not provide appraisals, but there will be time for questions and for attendees to compare cards from their own collections, whether they are Berkshire scenes, far-flung locales, seasonal greetings, or home-grown photo cards.

Stockbridge6Gary Leveille is a writer, editor, local historian, and archivist who lives in Great Barrington. He has been collecting postcards since he was ten years old.
