Isadora Duncan Dancers

A group of young Isadora Duncan dancers, under the direction of Deborah Harris, will dance on the Library’s front lawn on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Isadora Duncan, known as the “Mother of Modern Dance,” was well known to the community of Stockbridge at the turn of the 20th century when she visited and gave outdoor dance recitals at Chesterwood, Seven Hills (then known as Norwood), and at the Winthrop and Crowninshield estates.

Duncan dance is an expression of joy, an experience wherein the rhythms of the natural world, beautiful music, and youthful enthusiasm come together to delight!

In the event of rain, the performance will take place on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
