Sensory Storytime

Sensory Storytimes are ideal for children of all ages who are differently abled – they may be on the autism spectrum, have sensory processing issues, or feel overwhelmed by noises and crowds. Sensory Storytime is presented at a preschool level of development and uses books, songs, and activities to engage in developing emerging literacy, social interaction, and both gross and fine motor skills. Fidget toys and “stadium chairs” will be made available. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffy, fidget or chair. The Storytime room opens at 10:00 a.m. for children who would like to come early to explore the space and meet the youth librarian, Jenney Maloy.

Contact Jenney at email hidden; JavaScript is required to get a PDF of a social story about visiting the Library.

**Please note: Our annual book sale will be starting this morning. The Elm Street entrance will be the quieter entrance to use. **
