Annual Meeting Featuring Poet Jessica Piazza

Please join us for the Stockbridge Library Association’s Annual Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
We will welcome new board members during the brief business portion of the meeting, followed by a presentation by featured speaker and current Amy Clampitt Resident, Jessica Piazza.
The Amy Clampitt Fund seeks to “benefit Poetry and the Literary Arts by Converting Amy Clampitt’s prior residence into a facility which would provide for a place to foster the study and promotion of poetry and/or poet in residence” through six to twelve month residencies. The Amy Clampitt house is located in Stockbridge.

About the speaker: Jessica Piazza is the author of three poetry collections: InterrobangThis is not a sky, and Obliterations (with Heather Aimee O’Neill), as well as the children’s book Olivia Otter Builds Her Raft.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jessica now lives in Los Angeles, where she teaches at the University of Southern California.  She co-founded Bat City Review (Austin, TX) and Gold Line Press (Los Angeles, CA), and curates Poetry Has Value, which focuses on the intersections of poetry, money and worth.  She is the recipient of the Amy Clampitt residency, and is working on a new poetry collection and a novel.  Her poems have most recently appeared in Best American PoetrySmartish Pace and 32 Poems.
