In Plain Site: Eden Hill: From Mission House to Mercy Sunday

This summer, the Stockbridge Library, Museum & Archives will present In Plain Site, a series of monthly history walks in different Stockbridge neighborhoods.  Each month, a volunteer from the Museum & Archives will lead a one-hour tour, explaining the neighborhood and talking about the history of the people who lived there.  $5.00 suggested donation.

Join us on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 4:00 p.m., to learn about “Eden Hill: From Mission House to Mercy Sunday”.  Inhabitants on the hill have ranged from John Sergeant in the 1700’s to David Dudley Field in the 1800’s.  Today the hill is the home of the National Shrine of Divine Mercy.  It is also the site of Kampoosa Bog.  The tour will start in the Eden Hill parking lot.

Weather Alert: Due to the anticipated heat, we recommend that all participants bring along an umbrella for shade. We will supply water. This walk will take place as scheduled and will only be cancelled in the event of thunder and lightning.
