Vernal Pools Are Cool!

Newts, salamanders and frogs, oh my!

Learn about vernal pools and all the amazing animals that need these small ephemeral pools for their livelihood. Join Mass Audubon naturalist Zach Adams for a 45 minutes interactive slide show discussion with hands-on demonstrations. The talk is free and geared towards children, but people of all ages will enjoy!

Zach Adams is a life-long naturalist who has studied throughout the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains. He is a passionate birder, mammal tracker, mushroom collector and nature poetry reader. Zach is a fulltime Teacher Naturalist for Mass Audubon.
