Poetry Online: Medicine for the Soul featuring James Davis

The Stockbridge Library, Museum & Archives invites you to Online Poetry: Medicine for the Soul featuring poet James Davis on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. This event will be hosted virtually through The Stockbridge Library Zoom account.
Our highlighted poet will recite a number of poems and provide insight into one or several of the poems, immediately followed by a question and answer session. The online poetry event will last one hour.
The Stockbridge Library Online Poetry: Medicine for the Soul is pleased to host poet James Phillip Davis, author of Club Q, his first collection, which won the 15th Annual Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize and will be published in Fall 2020 by The Waywiser Press. His poems have appeared in two installments of the Best New Poets anthology (2011 & 2019), as well as numerous print and online journals, including Cartridge Lit, Copper Nickel, The Gay & Lesbian Review, Nimrod, and 32 Poems. He was a writer-in-residence at The Mastheads in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in 2019, and he holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Florida. He lives in Denver, CO.
