Tony Award Winner Blair Brown Online Conversation with André Bernard

The Stockbridge Library invites you to an online conversation with Tony Award Winner Blair Brown on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.

Actress Blair Brown has played major roles in movies, theater and television.  She first appeared in “The Paper Chase,” and was the lead actress in “Altered States” and “Continental Divide,” for which she received her first Golden Globe nomination.  On television she is perhaps best known for her starring role in  “The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd,” for which she received five consecutive Emmy Award nominations.  She has also had roles in “Orange Is the New Black” (as a character modeled on Martha Stewart) and “Jack Ryan” (as the CIA director) among other shows.  She is a significant presence on Broadway, where she has appeared in many productions since the 1970’s.  She won a Tony Award as the lead actress in “Copenhagen.”

In an interview with Stockbridge Library trustee André Bernard, Ms. Brown will talk about Broadway today, the theater world and her experiences in it, and how future theatrical performances might be changed by the pandemic.
