Artist reception Friday, August 1, 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
Judy Fox –
I have always loved art. As a young girl, living in Manhattan, my spirited
mother often took me to art museums and encouraged me to be creative;
be it in dancing, music, or painting.
At various times in my life, I took painting classes, studied life drawing, did
pen and ink doodles, sculpted and played with clay, but it was about
fourteen years ago that I seriously began to pursue art after taking what
was called a “late bloomers” class in the Berkshires with Phyllis Kornfeld.
Since then, I have rigorously pursued artwork in different mediums and
materials.
I love the whole creative process, the unknown aspect of literally often
starting from nothing – no idea, no concept or image before me and just
moving my pen or paintbrush to paper and seeing what emerges. It really is
the process that excites me.
