Artist Reception on December 12 at 5:00 pm
Sarah Mack is an artist, graphic designer, author, and illustrator. Her artwork
explores the natural world, with a particular connection to animals. Sarah
developed a love for the arts as a young child painting alongside her grandmother.
She later trained as both an artist and a graphic designer at Boston College.
She paints with a particular emphasis on composition, color, and the character of
her subjects while working in a variety of mediums. She hopes her artwork will
make viewers take a pause and reconnect with the living world around them.
Ranging from realistic oil paintings to whimsical watercolors, she tries to capture
the quiet personality found in every creature she paints. This love of storytelling
through image extends to her writing as well. Sarah is the author and illustrator of
two children’s books, Finding Home and Pickle, Pork, Frog, Dog, both of which are
currently being adapted into a children’s musical.
