Artist – Carla Rogozinski
From a young age, I knew that being an artist would hold a place in my future. Crayons, pencils,
and paints were always within arm’s reach, fueling my creative journey.
I draw inspiration from the world around me, particularly the interplay of light and shadow,
atmosphere, and color. My work is created with an impressionistic and intuitive style, choosing
colors that I “feel” in the moment, rather than strictly adhering to what I see.
The subjects I paint are born from my personal experiences, emotions, and places I’ve visited.
This deep connection to the subject matter allows me to infuse each piece of artwork with a piece
of my soul.
I recently began painting “en plein air” (from life), a practice that has since allowed me to
translate the emotions and colors I experience into my work. It’s a meditative process, one that
brings me closer to the scene in front of me. Moving forward, I plan to make plein air painting a
more regular part of my practice.
Through my artwork, I hope to evoke a sense of emotion, memory, or joy, creating a connection
that speaks to the viewer on a personal level.
