Book Talk – 200th Anniversary of the First Congregation Church

Join us at the Stockbridge Library for this book talk.

With the 200th anniversary of the First Congregational Church in Stockbridge arriving in 2024, it seemed like a good idea to uncover and share that history. The two-year effort is capped by the publication of How Firm a Foundation. While most church histories focus on the minsters and the rise and fall of their congregations, the committee writing this book chose to focus on the architectural history of the buildings, illustrated with photos and rarely seen archival records, as a framework for telling the interesting stories of the many people who contributed over the years to the church and the community.
