HONORING THE STOCKBRIDGE GOLF CLUB

The Stockbridge Golf Club, founded in 1895 is nestled on the banks of the Housatonic River amidst the beautiful Berkshires. If you had been invited to play
a round of golf in Stockbridge in the late 1800s by Joseph Choate, Eliot Tuckerman or Francis Crowninshield, you would have played at first six, and later nine
holes on top of Prospect Hill. The Stockbridge Golf Club was formalized in 1895, and six years later, the founders made a fateful decision. They moved the Club
to flat meadow land adjoining the Housatonic River. The fates of the Housatonic and the Stockbridge Golf Club have been joined ever since. Life in the flood
plain has been both a blessing and a curse. Together with the Rivers ebbs and flows, the Stockbridge Golf Club, one of the oldest in the nation, continues to make
history. Congratulations on 125 years – plus one!

This year there is an opportunity for a HOLE IN ONE!   Win $20,000 with $10,000 for The Stockbridge Library and
$10,000 for the golfer.  Prize for a hole in one on #14 only and every player gets one shot! Every player automatically entered to win!
