Dog Days of Summer – Community Dog Show

Join us for the Dog Days of Summer Community Dog Show!  We invite you and your favorite pooch to participate in several activities throughout the day, including a dog-themed storytime from 11:00 to 11:20, a children’s craft table, a StoryWalk in the garden, free SoCo Creamery ice cream, a read-aloud to a dog program, tables from the Berkshire Humane Society and The Berkshire Dog, and the chance to win prizes for you and your dog by walking down our red carpet!

For your chance to win a raffle prize, walk your dog down the red carpet at one of the times listed below. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your category start time to fill out your raffle ticket. There is a limit of 5 dogs walking per category, first come first serve. Raffle winners will be announced immediately after their category ends. Prizes include dog treats donated by The Berkshire Dog, gift cards donated by Sidetracks and Peace Love & Chocolate, and gift cards to other local Stockbridge businesses!

Categories include:

  • 11:40 am – 12 pm: Smallest dog with the biggest personality
  • 12 pm to 12:20 pm: Eyes that make your heart melt
  • 12:20 pm to 12:40 pm: Most likely to make a stranger stop and pet
  • 12:40 pm to 1:00 pm: Best style or costume inspired by a book character
  • General admission prize basket: anyone attending can enter into this raffle
  • Children’s prize basket: any child attending can enter into this raffle

*If you bring your dog to this event, make sure they are comfortable around large groups of people and other dogs. No dogs are allowed inside the library, dogs must be leashed at all times, and make sure you clean up after your pooch! Thanks!
